£42.00
Details & condition
A vintage French wooden wall-mounted salt box, or boîte à sel, with a sloping hinged lid and raised backplate pierced with a trefoil-shaped hanging aperture.
The exposed joinery and warm honey-toned patina give the piece a simple vernacular character.
Dimensions: approximately 23 cm high × 14 cm wide.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with light age-related surface marks. The original pin hinges operate smoothly and the box remains square and stable.
