A raku-fired studio pottery vase with a warm terracotta ground, smoky charcoal effects and a tall, tapering neck. The shoulder is finished with hand-stamped floral or sunburst motifs above a raised braided band.
The firing has produced the irregular surface, colour variation and fine crazing associated with raku ware.
Dimensions: 14 cm high.
Condition: Good vintage condition with no chips or post-firing cracks noted. Surface variation and crazing are inherent to the technique.
