Antique Majolica Vine Leaf Pedestal Dish
£22.00
Details & condition
An antique majolica pedestal dish moulded with overlapping vine leaves and tendrils beneath a rich turquoise-green glaze.
Raised on a low foot, it was probably intended as a small comport or serving dish. The maker is unknown, but its construction and glaze suggest a late 19th- or early 20th-century date.
Dimensions: 6 cm high × 16 cm diameter.
Condition: Distressed antique condition, with several chips and areas of glaze loss around the rim and pedestal foot. There is also general crazing, surface wear and age-related marking. The damage is reflected in the price.
